being a child at xmas, avatar and 100th post

long post. kicking double digits out. post 1-0-0 :D

ive probably blogged bout the gud old days too many times but there is a gud reason for that. every1 likes being a child dont they? at some point they do. or for others they neva stopped. what is the point of growing up? i cbb to answer that complicated question just yet. and i dont wanna cos wen i do it'll just make me feel bad that i dont get to go back to being a 10 yr old anymore.

there r obvious reasons for every1 why childhood is plain awesomeness that i will let you think of yourself, but the less obvious ones make me think how oblivious u r wen ur 10 yrs old. collecting rocks/shells, making those scoubidoo things and fake crying 2 get sympathy. lol...

nowadays you look at those little people who have ipods and mobiles wen theyre only like 10 yrs old. every other day i c a little kid about half my height sit at a restaurant or cafe and keeps occupied by the ipod touch or iphone in their little hands, unable to focus on anything else while their parents order.

now for more festive topics. yes sadly i only officially, fully realized this morning that it was christmas eve december 24th. yes i knew it was the day before xmas and a thursday but id forgotten it was CHRISTMAS EVE. in all its glory. now i know. and nothing much has changed...im doing less and less every year. because xmas isnt rlly that much of a big deal at my place and nothing much happens, it passes like any other day with maybe some fireworks in the background at night and people singing carols on tv. i get my presents wen my mum buys me sumthin expensive and she goes 'theres ur xmas present'.this year i got pretty little stilettos. actually theyre pretty high but its not like im gonna wear them everyday.

my list of things i hope to accomplish in future xmas's:
-put up a real tree
-buy and make decorations for that tree
-decorate it with ppl i want to decorate it with
-buy some1 a puppy or kitten and put it in a box with a big bow as a present
-or get one
-wrap some1 in tinsel
-have a xmas dinner and pull open one of those cracker things where presents fall out
-dress all in insanely bright yet amazing xmas colours and walk round the city at night with friends
-busk on a busy street and hope to earn money (busking is like singing or an act that you do on the street and hope people chuck change at you)
-goto somewhere snowy and spend xmas there, making snow angels and having snowball fights
-sleep out in front of a department store to get in on the boxing day sales the next day
-get a massive boxing day shopping haul
-sit on santa's lap and take a foto
-make my own supa awesome extra yummy mash potato from scratch

and that is all for now. reading that list again, i think i could possibly accomplish that all in 1 xmas. very unlikely tho.

alright last thing. about an hr ago. actually exactly an hr ago, to the minute, izzy and i stepped out of the cinema from watching avatar in 3D and were waiting for her dad to pick us up.



DUDE R U KIDDING? whoeva sed its bad just has a little bit of an odd taste, or doesnt recognize the same greatness every1 else sees. it is far from 'inter-species porn'. they dont even do anything in front of the camera anyway. its like the 2 characters kiss and theyre staring into each others eyes and u can tell they just wanna do it right there. but then on goes the next scene with the known fact that they did do it.

bottom line izzy and i both think its a really gud movie. the director of titanic did not dissapoint. except for that one evil guy who i just wanted 2 strangle the entire time. ye so movies about the humans who wanna destroy a foreign species and habitat so they can get to the mine of gud stuff underneath their home. they send in a cripple, ex marine in the form of one of their blue ppl to gain their trust and infiltrate etc.

yes cathy it is as u say 'intense' and 3D version makes it so much more bam bam bam. but srsly...watch it and the world that this director guy(james cameron) makes up just from his imagination is so much...more beautiful and unreal than what normal people could imagine. the detail of all the foreign animals and plants is amazing and he doesnt just show u a random, exotic animal that is pretty and goes rawr, but he makes it real enough so you wanna go and protect a place like that.

and yes even tho the blue ppl are made from animation, the actors act with heaps of wires and tech stuff attached too them so they can transfer their movement and sounds into the computer and generate the blue ppl, so its real enough to relate with.

p.s. for those ppl who r gonna watch it, the random spinning bug things that have disc-like propeller, multi-coloured fluro wings r hard not to laugh at =]

its unique cos u prob havent seen anything like it. 5 stars. hope the next 100 posts will b just as enjoyable-keep reading and keep commenting =] merry christmas guys. and happy birthday will~

camp.

so afta davo bugging me continuously 2 blog about camp here i am. shoutout 2 davo, ali, fiona and others. got up and caught the bus with izzy 2 skool. on the way we saw the crazy lady that lives in our area get on the bus. she has sumthin like 5 or 6 massive luggage cases that she hauls round all day everyday and izzy couldnt stand her being so close to her widely opened bag. so she got it 2 b safe o.o

on the bus to somerset jackie and i sang to my ipod the entire time =] jenny and chia cam raped jono and daran. and took luvos of course. we had 2 pack out stuff into rucksacks and i failed miserably...brought 2 much stuff lol :D

HIKING. was a horrible way 2 start the camp. it was like. wat? 4, 5km? hike with 12 frikin kilos on my back through rough terrain and frustrating sun. felt like it would nva end. jackie looked like she was about 2 faint and erica tripped and slid down a rocky hill which grazed her knee. it got her leg and shoe all bloody and was not a pleasant sight. sorry but i am UNFIT. so that was a major workout 4 me...

setting up our tents was harder than we expected cos jackie and i were both weaklings and couldnt get the pegs in the stupid hard ground. jackie kept slamming 1 peg for 20 min until mr barton helped us. O.M.G. our instructor was frustratingly annoying at times >.> he reminded me of some of the guys in yr 9 who r like 15 yr olds whereas he was prob 20-25. used sarcasm so often that u couldnt tell if he was being srs or kidding and took every possible opportunity to mock ppl. actually amusing if its not u =]

CANOEING. is now a tabooed word. jackie and i failed agn so badly that the instructor and mr barton had to take 1 of us into each of their canoes and help so we wouldnt lag so far behind. still it was so hard lol. i learn from that experience how truly weak i am. and how that instructor mostly just sat and chatted while jackie did all the work haha. my arms were in pain for so long afta that 8km canoe. took us like 4/5 hrs of continuous non-stop paddling. i swear i got some more muscle from that...

some point in the camp some instructor guy was explaining how 2 do stuff and was like 'and this and this and this and watcha gonna do is...' and i start singin 'watcha gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside ur trunk...'. unfortunately no1 else sang with me =[

the obstacle course was basically all crawling through stuff and climbing stuff. and no i did not go in the wombat hole. the dark underground tunnel full of sand and mud. erica went in like 2/3 times and came out like 10 seconds afta in on all those times. but she made it in the end and decided to only do half =] we didnt do abseiling or doughnuting but o well. omg high ropes was freaky ==' i only distinctively remembered my fear of heights or fear of most things in general afta i got up there. that was a hard 1/2 hr...harder than it sounds...fiona was crying in the last 1 cos she was so scared. i dun blame her. but i do blame those annoying guys who kept telling her to hurry up, which made her go slower. gud on u tho fi=]

by the end of 3 days ppl had gone thru no showers, camp food, THE FLIES, tent life, dirt, mud and hard excercise. was it worth it? not so sure...but i had gud bonding time with ppl :D first thing i did wen i got bak was GET SOME MACCAS and TAKE A SHOWER. have fun yr 9s next yr...hehe theres pics of everything of fb. go check it out.

fashion failures

omg its just weird when you see people wearing the 'new trends'. like the. random. retro. funky. awesome 'individual' styles THAT THEY CANT PULL OFF. or arent funky enough 2 wear. stuff like...JEGGINGS O.O dundundun



jeggings r like leggings that look like jeans. cept its just weird cos they neither, and wenn u force 2 things 2 b sumthin theyre not it usually doesnt work. great life lesson there. in the above picture u can she that ye she can pull it off, but that doesnt make it any less weird.

next is the body suit. maybe lady gaga has a bodysuit fetish, or just cant seem to find pants that fit her. i dont know. they look uncomfortable, usually always covered up with a skirt/pants which is equivalent of WEARING A SINGLET TOP and i just dont c the point. i was looking for pics of bodysuits wen i came across an article shunning them and a lady commented that she has like wat 3? bodysuits and they have mesh thong bottoms. 2 much information already. she then continued to describe what she wears with them and how she likes them...



last but not least out of the many failures is...the recent 'wet look' tights. tights are fine. when u wear them as pants with a long top is also fine. but wen u make them shiny and 'wet looking' they just look like spandex. sorry but that in my eye is usually not very attractive. supre has supported these and personally i just dont think its for every1, dont try if in doubt. unless ur futuristic and retro and funky. or a celebrity.

ive recently got a probably unhealthy addiction 2 that game on facebook. 'word challenge' lol even the name sounds gay. today we had a sub 4 va. that just made my day =D prob cathys 2. sigh only like 2 weeks left of skool-as always im not gonna finish my va or textiles in time =]

mmm i had sumthin else to say. sumthin interesting...ye so ill just movie review.

lets start with coco chanel.



starring shirley maclain this is a biography of coco chanel's life. but dont get it mixed up with the countless other 1s made, all with the same name. it was a movie movie and not a documentary and told more about her personal life than most ppl would no. ye itts like 3/4 romance and the rest is just rlly inspiring-even more than normal cos its a true story.

coco never married but so nearly did. she, like most girls her age was naive and 2 trusting and of course got kinda played. but not in like the-pimp who leaves a girl right afta a one night stand kind-the characters r so charming and the heartwarming music added would prob make ppl (like erin) cry. watch it. 9/10

lol ok totally different genre.



XMEN ORIGINS-WOLVERINE. RAWR ON WITH THE ACTION AND KILLING. ye of course this was a 'classic, all round pleasing movie that was made to appeal to every1 and expected to get in the top of the ratings' mainstream movie. little romance, lots of action and some humour. hafta say romance was above average compared to most other full on action die die die movies but it may b a little confusing if u havent watched the others. so how many xmen movies were there b4 this 1...? entertaining and gud 2 kill time on. 7/10 seeing as it seems pretty popular.

mhmmmmm so thats my movie review post. i just came up with another blog idea 10 seconds ago and ill do that 1 afta i post this 1.

the thing about pick up lines

yep recently i have had a random interest in pick up lines. none of them work. i dont even no if ppl still use them srsly anymore. and if they do they must b pretty desperate...sorry 2 break the news to guys but unless ur at a cheap strip club or bar pick up lines dont work 95% of the time. well if ur at a strip club u can just pay the girl...but thats not the point.

first there are the classic cheesy ones. so cheesy that i might describe them as wat erin uses to desscribe new moon. so cheesy its melting.

theyre the obvious 1s that usually dont work.

then the innuendos. there were so many i wonder how ppl think of them.

but of course theres the lame and corny ones that are equally sweet cos the guy managed to get the courage to say such a lame pick up line.

girls/women go 4 the guy in this case prob bcos they feel sorry 4 them in some way...these days the first impression is usually always wrong so i guess u can screw up. but if ur srs, then go 4 the more realistic version of conversation. of course i do feel sorry 4 guys who hafta pick up the courage to tlk 2 a stranger and maybe get totally rejected but life is life. u cant 'pick up' a girl with just 1 line cos theyre most likely going with u out of boredom, curiosity or just wants a free drink. the gud side is u can try these on as many ppl as u want just 4 laughs with ur frinds and c how many actually work =]

witnees

witnee is now finally 15 =] there was a sleepova on friday and we went 2 the beach on saturday so i missed chinese and coaching :D met a few of her school friends and watched the proposal agn and 17 agn but i fell asleep at 4 =[ her room was so pretty and decorated with balloons and stuff hanging off the ceiling and we fit 8 in total. morning we had totally fail out of the box just add water pancakes and spent the whole day baking in the sun, swimming, eating and of course taking fotos.

gossip girl ftw! <3

so last night i went and had my first formal interview at supre, george st for a xmas casual position. started at 7:30 and there were like 60-70 ppl in there altogether o.o first signs of nervousness. inside there was the sales, merchandising and door boy groups. yes i chose door boy =] u can neva have enough fun looking through ppl's bags. lol jk i went 2 merchandising which is basically the display or arrangement of the store, and taking care of the stock-all floor work and a little sales.

there were only like 10 ppl for merchandising and i was the youngest. we introduced ourselves and they took out like 10 pieces of clothing and some accessories and asked us to dress a manequin. voluntary only and i was 2 nervous so i didnt lol. we were told to go round the 1 floor and pick out a complete outfit of wat we would wear and describe it 2 every1 else. ye i think i was alright but not great. the whole thing ended at 8:45 and they sed they would call us a week later...

relaxed i treated myself to a big bowl of ramen~ well my mum paid 4 it but it was still gud =] at least i have a tiny lil idea of wat goes on in a group interview now.

interesting conversations on the bus

today was frustratingly hot. stupid weather forcast sed it would rain == ye so the day was normal, i was 45 min late 2 chinese skool and our english teacher 4 northshore loved cindy of course =] 7/11 DAAAAAAAAY. being the cheap azns we were we took advantage of this pretty useless but interesting offer. i personally dont like slushies. but chia got like 2 or 3 o.o all at different stores.

on the bus bak i saw this rlly tall, classic looks, ralph lauren sweater type guy and as he sat behind me i couldnt help but overhear his conversation over the phone. he was giving out relationship advice to his guy friend, who is apparantly 'freaking out' and lost all control of the relationship while his girlfriend ses she 'gets anxious everytime he tlks 2 another girl and jsut cant trust him anymore'. lol dont ask how i no so much. im not a stalker just this conversation was 2 intersting not 2 listen 2 haha.

the guy was like, get her some flowers or sumthin and give her a visit, show her uve made the extra effort to see her-it always works 4 me (lol). take her out and b rlly charming and have fun, if she still rejects u then, then its her problem not urs. lol and he went on to say how if he had any problems he should call him in the bathroom or sumthin haha i thought they only do that in moveis. and let alone guys. he was one of those guys who knew about women and was like 'oh ye ill wear my hugo boss silk tie and my blue shirt...blah blah'

lol he was even like, tlk things through with her and dont act angry but act disappointed, like u cant believe she doesnt trust u and shell definately say 'no no i trust u of course-put on the act and make her think uve rlly tried to change'. lol now theres a guy who nos how 2 play. at the end tho he sed, 'ye, sick, ok, mmm ok love you bye' i was like O.O did u jsut say love u bye 2 ur guy friend...lol i thought they were gay but then rememebred they had gfs.

that was by far the most...insightful bus conversation ive heard. admit it u all listen 2 ppls conversations some time ;)specaily if its quiet and theyre the only sound on the bus
